You may recall an alarming report that we told you about last year that exposed the questionable practices of Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, the privatized (taxpayer-funded) alternative to traditional Medicare. The report found MA plans were denying thousands of legitimate claims by Medicare beneficiaries and refusing to authorize reasonable medical procedures.

Since their inception, MA plans have undermined patient care, engaged in deceptive marketing practices and overcharged taxpayers! And incredibly, a recent investigation by STAT has discovered that MA plans are using artificial intelligence (AI) to deny care for seniors! Seniors are then left to appeal these decisions, ultimately delaying necessary care.

For years, the National Committee has raised the alarms on MA plans, which are increasingly capturing a greater share of Medicare’s limited dollars.
