“A lot of this is just rooted in how many Montanans, including us, live life on an everyday basis, and how ingrained the wildlife and the land and the nature is in who we are.” – Lander Busse, one of 16 young Montanans who have sued their state.

“There have been almost no trials on climate change. This is the first that will get into the merits of climate change and what needs to be done, and how the state may have to change its policies.” – Michael Gerrard, director, Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, Columbia Law School.

“In the courtroom, the truth still matters.” – Nate Bellinger, lead Montana attorney at Our Children’s Trust.
We are bringing a new generation to the courts. We are shining a light on how state governments, like Montana, are contributing to the climate crisis. This is the foundation for other climate cases in states with constitutional guarantees to a healthy climate.

Support the first constitutional climate case that begins on June 12. New gifts to Our Children’s Trust will be matched up to $10,000 by a new donor inspired by today’s story!
