Here’s why this goal is such a big deal. In 7 days, we’ll submit our fundraising numbers to the Federal Election Commission. Shortly after that, they’ll be made public for everyone — and I mean everyone — to see.
Having a strong first FEC report is critically important, especially since I’m ranked as one of the most vulnerable Democrats up in 2024.
You see, if Mitch McConnell gets wind that this campaign is vulnerable, you can bet he’ll swoop in with even more attacks. And right now, plenty of out-of-touch politicians are deciding if they want to take the gamble and run against me. With a race this important, we cannot afford to post a weak report that gives them any sort of advantage.
That means we’ve got to work extra hard these next 7 days because all eyes will be on us. I know we can do it, but right now we’re still $40,000 behind our goal.
