Greetings,

As we begin to see the green buds of crocuses pop up through the snow-covered New Hampshire landscape, we start to recognize the signs of change in our seasons. It brings us the excitement of new moments to enjoy with spring in the air. Not unlike this typical New England transformation, the New Hampshire Coalition to End Homelessness (NHCEH) is also experiencing a transition within its organization.

I wish to inform our partners and friends that I have accepted a new career opportunity and will be leaving my role as the NHCEH Director. The past few years have been such a rewarding and exciting time. It has been an honor to represent the NHCEH with NH Congressional leader discussions, watching people with lived experience with homelessness discover their advocacy voice, and seeing students’ excitement as they head to college with a Hope Starts Here scholarship in hand. I thank all of those who support NHCEH in making the work lighter by supporting the mission. While leaving for a new opportunity is bittersweet, I am excited to see the NHCEH Board of Directors commit to ensuring that this transition period be one of reflection, growth, and a smooth process.

The NHCEH Board of Directors is pleased to announce that it has appointed AnnMarie French to serve as Interim Director to provide continuity of leadership and guide the organization through this time of transition.

AnnMarie most recently served as the Executive Director for the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute for five years, including one year in the role of Interim Director. She brings more than 20 years of communications experience, including four years as Communications Manager for the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute and seven years as Communications Specialist with the New Hampshire Municipal Association/Local Government Center, also serving for six years as Associate Editor of New Hampshire Town and City Magazine. She previously held communications roles for the City of Boston Department of Neighborhood Development, supporting the Business Development and Housing divisions.

AnnMarie joined the NHCEH Board of Directors in January 2022, stepping down from the Board in March 2023 to support the Coalition in the role of Interim Director during this time of transition. AnnMarie has also served on the Board of Families in Transition since 2017 and brings key knowledge and insight into the work and collaborative relationship of these two organizations.

With AnnMarie’s leadership, and in collaboration with a committed Board of Directors, the NH Coalition to End Homelessness looks forward to moving forward with its mission to eliminate the causes of homelessness through research, education, and advocacy. We look forward to sharing what is accomplished in the months ahead as we ready the organization for its next chapter. If you wish to connect with AnnMarie or get involved with NHCEH, contact us at: [email protected].

We know that homelessness in New Hampshire continues to be a complex and significant social problem. The New Hampshire Coalition to End Homelessness is dedicated to raising the stage in which homelessness is discussed and understood. To stay up to date on our progress, check out our newly re-branded website at www.nhceh.org and follow us on Facebook and Twitter (@nhceh). I look forward to joining you as we continue to support NHCEH in their future efforts!

Sincerely,

Stephanie Savard, LICSW

Director
