Headlines like these are unsettling, team. But we’re not powerless. Our whole team is working overtime to react to the NC Supreme Court’s rehearing of Harper v. Hall, the case that struck down the legislature’s gerrymandered state Senate map just last year. Extreme conservatives are ready to rip up North Carolina's protections against map manipulation and believe they have an ally in the new majority on the state Supreme Court. This is a decision that we’ll be feeling for years. We must be prepared to protect fair maps, no matter how the North Carolina Supreme Court rules. |
