Think about how often you come in contact with water throughout your day. Drinking a glassful in the morning, taking a shower, doing dishes, washing your hands. Water feels like it’s everywhere — except when it isn’t.
Water vulnerability already affects at least 450 million children and it’s expected that almost 1 in 4 children will live in areas of extremely high water stress by 2040. That means even more children will face an increased risk of coming into contact with unsafe water and waterborne diseases.
It doesn’t have to be this way.

When you give now, you’ll help UNICEF deliver emergency safe water, hygiene kits, water purification tablets and sanitation supplies to children.
Your gift will especially make a difference for children who have been affected by crises such as the historic drought in the Horn of Africa, record flooding in Pakistan and devastating earthquakes in Syria and Turkey.

When disasters like these hit, they can limit, contaminate or even destroy entire water supplies. And, as natural disasters and climate-induced emergencies become more and more frequent, children in water-scarce areas could be displaced as they search for water — putting their health, safety and education at risk.
UNICEF teams are working tirelessly to ensure that children in crisis zones and beyond receive access to water; your gift will help deliver powerful relief.
