Chick-fil-A’s $1 Billion Expansion Shows Biblical Values and Kind Service Can Still Win
By: Zachary Mettler
Chick-fil-A has earned the top spot in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) for eight years running. According to the ACSI, Chick-fil-A “leads the industry — and all restaurants — for the eighth straight year with a steady ACSI score of 83.”
Because of Chick-fil-A’s renowned customer service and scrumptious food, it comes as no surprise that the restaurant, home of “The Original Chicken Sandwich,” is planning a $1 billion international expansion through 2030.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Chick-fil-A Inc. “plans to open restaurants in Europe and Asia by 2026, with locations in five international markets by 2030.”
Andrew Cathy, current chairman of Chick-Fil-A and son of founder S. Truett Cathy, said that the company is taking its chicken overseas while continuing to expand in the United States.
“We feel like it’s time to continue to innovate and try and test how we will do in international markets so that we can learn,” Mr. Cathy said.

“Pro-Life U” Director Kicked Out of Senate for Wearing a Sweatshirt Bearing School’s Registered Name
By: Paul Batura
If you see Jeff Hunt, director of Colorado Christian University’s public policy think tank, the Centennial Institute, out and about, there’s a good chance you’ll see him wearing his “Pro-Life U” sweatshirt.
“I wear it everywhere,” he told me on Wednesday morning. “I wear it to conferences, I wear it on airplanes, I wear it to stores.”
That’s because Colorado Christian University, a private faith-based school that traces its roots back to 1914 when it was known as the “Denver Bible College,” recently registered the trademark “Pro-Life U” moniker.
“College of the Ozarks is also known as ‘Hard Work U,’” says Hunt, “and in that same spirit, we have a commitment to making CCU the most pro-life college in the nation.”
History and trademark registrations were of little interest or concern to officials at the Denver Capitol earlier this week, though, when Hunt was kicked out of the Senate Gallery for wearing clothing that allegedly violated Colorado Senate rules. In Denver for “Pregnancy Resource Center Day at the Capitol,” Hunt was attending discussion on SB23-190, a wicked pro-abortion bill that would restrict and censor the good work pregnancy resource centers provide in their communities. Specifically, it would ban the abortion pill reversal treatment for women who have changed their minds after beginning a chemical abortion.

300 Attacks on Catholic Churches — In Less Than 3 Years; 82 Attacks on Pregnancy Resource Centers — In Less Than a Year
By: Jeff Johnston
Vandals have attacked more than 300 Catholic churches across the country since May 2020, reports the non-profit advocacy group, CatholicVote.org.
The group says, “The attacks have included acts of arson, some of which forced churches to close for repairs. Three historic churches were burned to the ground.”
In addition, CatholicVote has tracked assaults on pregnancy resource centers and pro-life groups for the past 10 months. There have been 82 attacks on these groups since May 2022, when a draft of the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked to the press.
Attacks on churches also increased since that leak, with “a new spate of 141 attacks” occurring after the early draft was made public.
The group, which advocates for faith, family and freedom, reports:
“The pregnancy resource centers, which provide free medical and financial support to pregnant and new mothers, have been victimized by arson and firebombing; smashed windows; graffiti with threatening messages; destruction of signage; gluing of locks to prevent staff from entering; keying of staff members’ cars; and other acts of violence and vandalism. In at least one case, the home of a board member of a pregnancy resource center was attacked. Other pro-life groups which advocate for the right to life have been subject to the same attacks.”

What is Happening with Marriage Today? Some Good News, But Mostly Bad
By: Daily Citizen Staff
Obviously marriage matters. For the family, for society, and for the well-being of our children. It is the foundation of human thriving.
But how is marriage doing today in society? It is an important question that all Christians — and those who care about children and societal health — must ask.
Richard Reeves, a senior research fellow at the center-left Brookings Institution, has just created a video giving what is actually a very helpful overview of how marriage has been changing over the last few decades. It is as informative as it is brief.
While conservatives and serious Christians will not agree with his personal conclusions at the end, Reeves certainly gets the facts right and shares some important insights on what has been happening to marriage over the last few decades in America.
Out of the gate, Dr. Reeves explains “there’s been a general decline in marriage.” Only 1 in 10 Americans today believe marriage is essential to a fulfilling life. He notes with deep concern, “That’s a huge cultural change” over the last few decades.
He is correct and according to scholars at the National Center for Family & Marriage Research (NCFMR) the actual decline in couples marrying has been dramatic. The marriage rate in America has fallen by more than half since 1900 and its peak in 1920 was three times the current rate.

Kansas State Head Coach is a “Lover of Jesus”
By: Paul Batura
With several bracket-busting upsets in week one of the Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament, fans of the annual March Madness festivities might be looking for someone new to root for and cheer on.
Look no further than Jerome Tang, head coach of the Kansas State Wildcats. In his first year on the Manhattan campus, the coach has exceeded all expectations. But most importantly, Coach Tang prioritizes his faith in Jesus Christ above all other endeavors.
Incidentally, K-State (23-9) tips off against Montana State (25-9) tonight in Greensboro, North Carolina. It’s the Wildcats first March Madness appearance in four years.
At 55 years of age, Jerome Tang arrived last year from Baylor University, where he served as a long-time assistant coach beginning in 2003. Tang’s longevity and success at the Waco, Texas school was largely attributed to his basketball prowess, of course, but also his fitting into the Christian school’s “JOY” culture — an acronym that stands for “Jesus, Others, Yourself.”
A native of Trinidad, West Indies, the coach first lived in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and he now lists “Lover of Jesus” first in his Twitter bio.
“My faith is extremely important to me,” Tang has said. “That’s what I live my life by. I believe that God put me on this earth to be a servant leader, and I just want to be of service in any way I can to serve our players, to serve my staff, to serve our community and our university.”
