The right to access both abortion care and gender-affirming care gives us the freedom to determine our own paths in life and to defy barriers that oppress and erase women and LGBTQ people. The same lawmakers who are attacking our reproductive freedoms are attacking our trans communities for these very reasons.

Our legal, policy, and organizing teams are working both at the federal level to stop anti-trans and anti-abortion bills – and with our affiliates and coalition partners in every state, D.C., and Puerto Rico to fight against attacks across the country.

We know you're with us in this critical work and we will continue providing ways to take action and support people's rights. Here are two quick resources to check out immediately:

* Go to our Abortion Criminal Defense Initiative page: Through this Initiative, we'll establish and work alongside a nationwide network of highly qualified criminal defense attorneys to work with the ACLU to defend against criminal investigations, charges, and prosecutions for abortion care.
