John, we’re going to lay out the reasons why Democratic states have no excuse for their inaction — and how investing in progressives will allow for sweeping reform. But if you’re short on time, please, chip in $27 right now to build progressive power >> ([link removed])
FIRST → New York, California, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts elected Democratic supermajorities in their state legislatures.
Despite their power, all of these states have failed to pass legislation on critical issues like climate change and abortion rights. The establishment Democrats in these states continue to cede power to the establishment and the GOP by choice.
THEN → Minnesota and Michigan flipped their state houses by the slimmest of majorities.
Yet in their new legislative sessions, progressives in Michigan and Minnesota have passed a series of laws to codify LGBTQ+ rights, protect abortion rights, provide free school lunches, and expand voting rights.
NOW → It’s more clear than ever before that electing Democrats is not enough – we need progressives in our state legislatures.
That’s why we’re continuing our critical work to transform state legislatures and build progressives.
BUT the establishment and GOP are banking on us to fail. We need people like you to stand with us and continue building our progressive movement to prove we’re not backing down.
We need 13 people in your city to step up TODAY and support real, progressive change in our state legislatures. Donate $27 right now to build progressive power >> ([link removed])
