Dem AGs are stepping up to protect consumers amid banking turmoil
Friend,
If we learned anything from the 2008 financial crisis, it's that big banks can't be trusted to act responsibly without oversight. But even after all these years, some financial institutions continue to engage in risky practices that threaten the livelihood of working Americans.
Take Silicon Valley Bank, for example. Just a few weeks ago, it collapsed under the weight of depositors trying to withdraw their funds, causing market turmoil that threatened to destabilize the entire economy. And it's not the only one. People's United and M&T banks are facing allegations of money disappearing from accounts and customers being locked out of online banking.
Hard-working Americans shouldn’t be forced to pay the price for the mistakes of Wall Street or Silicon Valley, friend. We can't afford another financial crisis like the one we experienced in 2008.
It's time to put an end to the culture of greed and recklessness in the banking industry, prioritize the needs of working Americans, and ensure that financial institutions act responsibly.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
