New Changes to the Public Surface Water Search Page

The Surface Water pages, including Search, Data Copy, and Viewing have been revamped. This revamp improves the search page, with improved UI, re-tuned filtering options, accordions, and results. The Search page has also been reworked and only uses one page rather than multiple pages.

The new search page contains a dropdown box titled ?Output Format? which has two options. The ?Listing? option will return the results of a filter criteria search to the web browser screen. The ?Data Copy? option will display a differently formatted output to the screen and includes a ?Copy to Clipboard? clickable button that will enable the user to copy and paste the selected records to another program, such as a spreadsheet.

Recently, ProGrant and Units were replaced by Instantaneous, Volumetric, and Reservoir Storage (Reservoir Capacity) all throughout our sites. We wanted to give you a breakdown of what each field means to clear up any potential confusion.

Instantaneous Grant - The rate in cubic feet per second (CFS) that water is authorized to be withdrawn from a naturally flowing water course for direct use or off-channel storage.

Volumetric Grant - The annual volume of water in acre-feet (AF) that is authorized to be diverted from a naturally flowing water course, stored in a reservoir or withdrawn from a reservoir.

Reservoir Storage Grant (Reservoir Capacity) - The storage capacity of a reservoir in acre-feet (AF). It is typically the volume of water that can be stored in a reservoir at the elevation of the lowest open outlet.
