A promise is a promise.

Unfortunately, President Biden is abandoning one of his biggest promises as he plans to bring back one of the Trump-era's harshest immigration policies - the asylum ban.

This is a major step backwards and will harm countless people seeking safety in the United States.

The facts are clear - this proposed ban separates families and unfairly targets Black, Brown and Indigenous people seeking safety, freedom and a chance to contribute to our country. The ban will leave them stranded and vulnerable to violence. Plus, the ban violates international and domestic law which protects people's right to asylum.

That's why we need your help to stop the asylum ban before it's too late.

The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) joined other organizations to co-sponsor a joint comment action campaign to let people voice their stance against the ban.

So far, more than 26,000 people have commented through the form opposing the asylum. Will you join them?

You only have a few days left - the comment period closes on Monday, March 27th so send your comment right now!

Comment here: Tell President Biden that you oppose the asylum ban!

People seeking help from our country deserve safety, freedom from persecution, and the opportunity for a new life.

Tell President Biden that asylum bans need to stay in the past.

Thank you for taking action to help people seeking safety.
