Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong ([link removed]) highlighted that trust is the one element crucial in shaping the PAP Government’s response during the pandemic.
Wrapping up the debate on the Covid-19 White Paper in Parliament earlier this week, DPM Wong said that Singaporeans trusted the Government to make the right decisions ([link removed]) and to act in the best interest of Singapore and Singaporeans. He emphasised that the PAP Government does not take this trust for granted and will work assiduously to ensure that Singapore will always remain a high trust society.
DPM also paid tribute ([link removed]) to all who have made sacrifices and worked hard to get Singapore through the pandemic, especially our healthcare workers and frontliners.
During the debate, our Members of Parliament acknowledged the need to strengthen our responses to future crises while providing better support for the vulnerable groups in our community.
