IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO TAKE PART IN THE GREAT BRITISH SPRING CLEAN 2023The Great British Spring Clean is officially underway and we are thrilled to reveal that just under 350,000 bags have been pledged so far. If you haven't done already, you can join us to help us tackle litter. Whether you have five minutes or an hour to spare, getting out in nature and caring for the environment is good for your community - and your wellbeing too! SUPPORT FOR LOCAL #LITTERHEROESWe believe that the work volunteer #LitterHeroes do, day in, day out, to make their local community a better place is incredible. That’s why we are working in partnership with KFC to offer vouchers to local #LitterHeroes, which can be exchanged for litter picking equipment on shop.keepbritaintidy.org. To ensure as many people as possible can take advantage of the scheme, vouchers will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, and we will be offering individual #LitterHeroes up to £30 worth of vouchers. SHARE YOUR ACTIVITIES WITH USIn the run up to the campaign, we've been delighted to see people going above and beyond with their plans for the Great British Spring Clean. Last year volunteers at the Friends of Sackville Gardens joined Keep Manchester Tidy and Manchester City Council to share what caring for their green space, in the heart of the city's Gay Village, means to them - see our video above. PROTECTING OUR WILDLIFEVolunteer marine mammal medic Jane Hardy is taking part in the Great British Spring Clean. Here the avid beach cleaner tells the nation how crucial it is to pick up litter before it harms our wildlife - a great reason to make your own pledge today! |
