Hi John! I just had Iftar dinner with my family and wanted to reach out to you!

For those of you who don’t know, Ramadan is a time where Muslims abstain from eating or drinking from sunrise to sunset, using this month for reflection, growth, and helping those in need.

I’m taking this month to reflect on the work we’ve accomplished in such a short time. We were able to uplift amazing, progressive and Muslim candidates in 2022 – proving just how strong our grassroots community is. But we can’t stop the momentum now and we need your help.

John, I know what it’s like not having enough representation for your community. When I ran for Congress, I was running for every young, Muslim girl to see someone who looked like them fighting for a brighter future.

And I ran for my daughter and all of our children who deserve to grow up in a world where their leaders will fight fiercely for them.

That’s why I’m using my platform and the power of the grassroots movement we’ve worked so hard to build to support strong, Muslim progressives in their fight for a brighter future. We know the barriers are stacked against minority communities, but I know together, we can overcome that. It just has to be now.
