If anti-gunners have their way…

<[link removed]>

John,

Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun lawyers are trying to gut the Second Amendment by
crippling our ability to challenge gun control in the courts.

As you may remember, an Oregon Court of Appeals OVERTURNED our victory in
defense of a citizen-passed measure that established a 2A Sanctuary in an
Oregon county last month.

But that wasn’t enough for these radical anti-gunners…

In what our attorney described as “a new and unique expansion under the law,”
they’re now petitioning the court to holdGun Owners Foundation financially
liable for their exorbitant attorney fees – to the tune of $100,000!

If they get away with this, we’d be forced to pull that money from the other
legal battles that we’re fighting and fork it over to anti-gun billionaire
Michael Bloomberg!

To make matters worse, Judge Egan – the judge who essentially described gun
owners as “racist” for supporting the Second Amendment – is one of the judges
they’re appealing to.

At a minimum, we’re going to have to pay our attorneys to defend against this
unprecedented threat, which won’t come cheap.

That’s why I’m asking for your help mustering the funds we need to stop
Bloomberg’s lawyers without redirectingANY resources away from our other legal
battles in defense of the Second Amendment.

Please make a tax-deductible contribution to our Legal Defense Fund to help us
defeat this petition without pulling funds away from any of our other legal
battles around the country.

If Bloomberg’s anti-gun lawyers are successful, it would have a chilling
effect on our ability to bring future lawsuits against unconstitutional gun
control laws.

We’re determined to defend ourselves from this radical attempt to hamstring
the Second Amendment by threatening a financial penalty for challenging gun
control in the courts.

But while we fight back against this massive threat to your God-given rights,
I want to be certain that we don’t jeopardize any of the other critical legal
battles that we’re fighting.

Those include:

* Our lawsuit against the ATF over their illegal national gun registry and
their ban on selling unregistered 80% receivers (we just had an oral hearingin
Minnesota in the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals).
* Our lawsuit against the ATF’s unconstitutional pistol brace ban, which
could cover up to 40 million firearms.
* Our lawsuit against New York’s unconstitutional concealed carry
restrictions that are designed to make it as difficult as possible for citizens
to carry firearms for self-defense and even require applicants to submit their
social media accounts for review. (We just had an oral hearing in the 2nd
Circuit Court of Appeals this week.)
* Our lawsuit against Oregon’s gun control law that bans magazines over 10
rounds, requires a permit to purchase any firearm, and requires a training
course, application fee, fingerprinting, and a duplicative background check to
obtain the permit-to-purchase.
* Our lawsuit against Illinois’s ban on so-called “assault weapons.”

Our attorneys are confident that the law is on our side, John.

But to beat these Bloomberg-funded lawyers in front of the most radically
anti-gun judge in the entire county and avoid being hit with this $100,000
judgment, we needyour support.

So please, make a tax-deductible contribution to our Legal Defense Fund to
help us defeat this petition without pulling funds away from any of our other
legal battles around the country.
