Did you know that the Blackstone Legal Fellowship trains international students too?
Consider how the support of people like you made a difference for Julian.
Shortly after returning to Uruguay following his Blackstone experience, Julian found out that new gender identity legislation threatened parental rights. If the bill passed as written, it would allow children to go under the knife for so-called sex reassignment surgery without parental consent.
You can probably imagine how terrifying this was for parents in Uruguay. The government was working to take away their right to make medical decisions for their children!
Thankfully, Julian didn’t hesitate to act. He joined forces with a network of concerned parents and worked with ADF International to provide evidence to the Uruguay Parliament about the negative effects of such a law.
Their advocacy paid off. The provision that threatened parental rights was removed from the bill before it was passed. Praise God!
Blackstone gave Julian the tools and education he needed to stand up for parental rights in Uruguay, as well as a team of allies who he knew he could count on for help.
This training program is truly a life-changing experience for law students like Julian. But this work isn’t possible without the generous support of people like you, John. |
