John,

In honor of Women’s History Month, we want to take a moment to celebrate some of the trailblazing women who have led the way for change and who embody the spirit of progress in the legal space.

While we still have a long way to go when it comes to gender equity, it’s worth looking back at some of the women icons and pioneers who have brought us to where we are today. From Jane Bolin to Sonia Sotomayor to the Innocence Project’s very own Christina Swarns, learn about these nine women who have made history in our legal system: [[link removed]]

The Innocence Project works to free the innocent, prevent wrongful convictions, and create fair, compassionate, and equitable systems of justice for everyone. Founded in 1992 by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, the organization is now an independent nonprofit. Our work is guided by science and grounded in antiracism.
