John, during the
past few years, we have seen conservatives build a NATIONWIDE movement
backed by GOP mega-donors to oppose our DAs who work everyday to pursue
accountability and justice. They’ve even succeeded in removing our DAs
from office.

And now these attacks have reached a fever-pitch in 2023. I need you to
stay with me for a few minutes, OK?

Here at Real Justice, we not only elect civil rights-minded DAs but also
work to DEFEND them and their work.

Their fight to dismantle mass incarceration, protect minors from being
charged as adults, stop the prosecution of mental health crises and
substance use disorder, free people who were wrongfully convicted, and
hold police accountable when they break the law and commit violence is
crucial.

And it’s OUR communities that will suffer the consequences if we don’t
protect their work!!!

month so we can defend our DAs from well-funded conservative attacks. Will

John, San Francisco is a
prime example of what happens if conservatives succeed in their attacks on
our DAs. Conservative billionaires spent over $6 million and were able to
trick and deceive the people to remove Chesa Boudin from office using
false information and fear-mongering tactics.

And what was worse is that they replaced him with a TERRIBLE DA.

The DA who replaced Chesa has worked to drop charges for violent cops,
throw more people in jail for drug use, stop wrongfully convicted people
from being released, and created a truly corrupt DA office. And I hate to
say it, but this could happen everywhere if we don’t work to protect our
DAs.

This is NOT a drill, John.

We have worked so hard to elect dozens of truly transformative DAs since
2017.

Tens of thousands of doors knocked. Emails sent. Phone calls made. Text
messages sent.

We can’t let all of this work be rolled back right in front of our eyes by
conservative leaders from Florida to California. And your city could be
next.

We need to prepare a robust DA Defense Fund to be able to jump into action
and help our DAs who are being targeted in Florida, Texas, Missouri, Iowa,
and all across this country, so they can continue their work to transform
the system from the ground up.

movement is powered by the people, and there is SO MUCH at stake if we
don’t continue the work that we’re doing to shield our
democratically-elected justice leaders from conservative threats. So, will
