Hey friend, it’s Kevin.
It’s my first week as Finance Director for the Iowa Democratic Party, and I wanted to send you a note introducing myself.
I’m a proud University of Dayton alum (go Flyers!) and cut my teeth as a finance assistant on Fmr. Senator Evan Bayh’s campaign back in 2016 along with a number of other U.S. Senate campaigns before taking on a senior finance role for Ben Salango’s 2020 run for governor in West Virginia.
The programs and values championed by Democrats helped me get where I am today. During my family’s struggles with health care, we relied on those programs to carve out a decent life, and the experience instilled in me a strong conviction that no one should have to choose between staying healthy, keeping the lights on, or putting food on the table for their family.
I’m excited to join the IDP’s small but mighty team and build up our fundraising infrastructure so we’re ready for victory in 2024. I know Chair Hart has big plans to invest in better data, strengthen county parties, and hold Republicans accountable.
Here’s the thing: putting all of those great ideas into action takes money. We need a strong coalition – big donors, small donors, and everybody in between – to invest in the change we want to see.
That’s where you come in, friend. Can I count on you to chip in $15 right now to kick off my first week with a strong start?
CHIP IN $15
Every dollar matters, and with your support, we can set our candidates up for success in 2024 and beyond. Are you in, friend?
Sincerely,
Kevin Sobkoviak, Finance Director
