LAPPL Demands Twitter/Google Take Down Threatening Site, Filing Lawsuit Dear Member, Attorneys, retained by the LAPPL have served a cease and desist notice on Twitter and Google seeking the immediate removal of this site from these social media platforms. Both notices are regarding the killer cops 1984 Twitter site and its usage of a Google accessed data dump of officers photos and names. The Twitter site advocates for the murder of police officers. Additionally, on behalf of officers, we will be filing a lawsuit for intentional infliction of emotional distress in the Los Angeles Superior Court. This again relates to the killer cops 1984 Twitter site that directly threatens LAPD officers. Lastly, we will be suing the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Police Department for its negligent release of officer photographs, names and other identifiers. The chief has already admitted that undercover officers and those who work in sensitive assignments are in peril as a result of this negligence. Our lawsuit will seek to force the city to “claw-back“ those officers, names and photographs, to include an appropriate court order that no other entity shall release, disseminate or post that information in the future.
