In solidarity, Team Women Win Wisconsin ------Begin forwarded message------ John,
If you’re big hockey fans like we are, we’re sure you were tuned into the battle between the Ohio State Buckeyes and our Badgers yesterday evening. We’re so proud of Badger Women’s Hockey for making history by winning their record-breaking 7th NCAA Ice Hockey national championship! 🥳 |
The Wisconsin Supreme Court race and the Senate District 8 special election have the power to change abortion access in Wisconsin for the better:
1️⃣ Judge Janet Protasiewicz is running for the ten-year swing seat on our state’s highest court. Her opponent, Trump-endorsed Extreme Dan Kelly, is proudly supported by Wisconsin's most extreme anti-choice groups. This is a statewide race and the court will hear cases on everything from abortion access to voting rights over the next decade. Come out to one of our upcoming rallies and tell everyone you know that Judge Janet needs your vote on April 4!
2️⃣ Jodi Habush Sinykin is the official Democratic nominee in the Senate District 8 special election, and she's up against extreme anti-choice Republican Dan Knodl. If Jodi flips this seat, WI Republicans lose their supermajority in the state senate and Gov. Evers will retain the power to veto GOP anti-abortion bills. If you live in Wisconsin’s 8th Senate District, vote Jodi on April 4! Judge Janet Protasiewicz and Jodi Habush Sinykin are running against some of Wisconsin’s biggest anti-choice extremists, which is why we’re focusing our energy on turning out pro-choice voters for these key races.
With Election Day only 15 days away, we need all the support we can get to keep rallying and organizing for our reproductive rights. John, can you split a contribution of any amount today between Women Win Wisconsin, Judge Janet, and Jodi to send two pro-choice champions to Madison? >>

The power to win elections now and in the foreseeable future is with pro-choice Wisconsinites and our fight for our rights.
With the future of our democracy and reproductive freedom at stake, former Wisconsin State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski launched an initiative building on the power of pro-choice women.
The fall of Roe v. Wade reinstated Wisconsin’s cruel abortion ban from 1849 that provides no exceptions for rape or incest and could jail or fine doctors. But we know the right-wing won’t stop there. Governor Evers has already vetoed nine anti-abortion bills that passed the GOP-controlled legislature, and when he called for a special special to repeal the 1849 law, Republicans gaveled in and out in less than a minute.
At Women Win Wisconsin, we believe the key to stopping the GOP is to activate the overwhelming majority of voters who support reproductive freedom. A recent Marquette University Law School poll showed 80% of Wisconsin voters are concerned with the change in abortion policy now that abortion is illegal in the state. These voters can make the difference in Wisconsin races that are often decided by only a few hundred votes.
Women Win Wisconsin will make sure pro-choice voters know exactly who’s going to fight for their reproductive rights and freedoms. We back pro-choice women running in Wisconsin’s most competitive races, and we’re excited to support Democratic victories up and down the ballot.
There are critical spring elections on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
