In the last year, I've sent you a few emails asking for you to make a plan to vote. Today, I want to talk about our plan for tax season.
As a small business owner, I've dealt with many of the stressors that come leading up to April 15th. When I worked in healthcare, I saw how certain financial planning rules only increased headache, and I'm working every day to change that.
In these uncertain times, through a pandemic and economic ups and downs, I've been committed to keeping our state financially healthy. As a result, we're able to focus on the issues that matter—not petty political games.
We've worked toward some savings options that allow families to create a more secure future. Whether it be retirement or college, I'm proud to have expanded access to quality financial services previously only available to a small group. But we're still a long ways away from accomplishing the mission of financial stability for EVERY Delawarean.
Running for office wasn't a random decision for me. I've always had a commitment to serving my community. When I saw that my experience gave me the ability to lower financial burdens for my fellow Delawareans, the choice was clear.
