John,
ICYMI: Reps. Cori Bush and Summer Lee are joining Rashida Tlaib in reintroducing the Justice For All Act — a transformative bill to expand our civil rights and protect our communities from discrimination.
For far too long, our civil rights have been weakened by right wing judges at all levels of government. And we can't rely on today's radical right-wing Supreme Court to defend us. By restoring the original intent of our civil rights laws, we can ensure that everyone is treated equally under the law.
This bill would provide people and communities with the tools and resources needed to combat both intentional AND unintentional discrimination in housing, education, public accomodations, employment among others.
Will you join us in our fight to defend and protect our civil rights by adding your name to become a grassroots co-sponsor of the Justice For All Act? Your support is needed!

If passed, the Justice For All Act would end qualified immunity for government personnel, including police officers. The bill would also prohibit racial and gender profiling in police investigations. These acts alone could finally bring some form of standardized accountability to police.
Additionally, this bill would go even further by protecting people in the courts by:
- Supporting victims of discrimination by ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve and the attorney's fees as necessary to allow civil rights lawyers to take on their cases.
- Prohibiting the use of compelled arbitration clauses, which are too often used to eliminate consumer and employee rights.
- Eliminating court-created defenses that allow employers to escape liability for creating hostile work environments.
- Expanding the definition of "sex" for civil rights purposes to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
The Justice For All Act has the ability to change the lives of millions of people of all ages and backgrounds, especially for those from marginalized communities. We are long overdue for an overhaul of the criminal justice system to equalize the playing field for everyone.
Congress has the ability to defend and expand our civil rights protections to defend our communities from further discrimination. Our collective voice is key to making this a reality. Will you add your name to become a grassroots co-sponsor of the Justice For All Act?
In solidarity,
Team Cori
