Hello John, James here.
You know the goal is to gain ground in rural America and it's my job to report our progress:
The Work in Wisconsin
We've rallied several organizations in Wisconsin on uniting behind a technique a partner engineered to get referendums on the ballot in red, rural counties. You may have heard of the success in Dunn County, WI as it made headlines this past cycle. The technique that won support for a national, non-profit healthcare system in a Trump county will be fully detailed at our next forum on April 12th. Out of this, we will set objectives to place similar referendums on the ballot in Congressional Districts 1, 3, and 7 for the 2024 election. Personally, as a lifelong northwoods resident, I couldn't be more pleased to see this project move forward.
ARPA Toolkit & Campaign
Our ARPA funds toolkit is currently in the design process. Once complete a campaign will be launched to encourage rural Americans across the country to find out if their county leadership has administered the funds, and if not a venue by which they can spotlight national attention on this critical issue. Remember, numerous Republican-led counties across the country are burying these funds for obvious political reasons to the detriment of their communities. ROCC is spearheading the campaign to call attention to this and make sure this funding is put to good use!
Continued Outreach
Lastly, we've been doing outreach to identify good work being done by rural organizers all over America. So much great work goes unsupported and under the radar because rural America has lacked organization... ROCC is designed to amplify the best grassroots mobilization strategies and offer the support rural organizers desperately need. We've made great contacts in the rural southwest and Florida, so look for news on that front soon, plus updates on our work in Texas and forging a new partnership to introduce two vital new rural initiatives nationwide.
John, if our work in Wisconsin, the ARPA funding campaign, and the continued growth of ROCC is important to you - then will you please chip in a small amount to fund these efforts?
