Folks —

It's a damn shame that in 2023, we are still fighting to protect a woman's right to make decisions about her own body. But that's exactly what's happening in Montana and just next door in Wyoming right now.

Recently, politicians in Montana bullied a private business into no longer carrying legal medications in our state. Then on Friday, Wyoming’s Governor signed a bill that bans mifepristone , a safe and effective medication used to end a pregnancy.

These politically motivated attacks put the government between a woman and her doctor. It also puts the health and well-being of women at risk.

It’s never been more clear: We need to stand up and fight back by making sure we protect women’s rights at the federal level.

But the truth is that losing here in Montana puts our entire Senate majority at risk, and will enable a dangerous agenda to move forward that further restricts access to reproductive health care.

We can pass federal legislation that protects every woman’s right to health care, but we’ve got to defend our Senate majority to restore these fundamental rights nationwide. Can you chip in with critical grassroots support that we need to keep me in the Senate? [[link removed]]

Elected officials in Wyoming, Montana, and across the country should be doing everything they can to solve the problems their constituents face. Instead, they’re playing politics and telling women what they can and can’t do with their own bodies.

It’s a failure of leadership, and we cannot sit idly by and watch as they roll back the clock on freedom.

Look, we win by building a people-powered campaign rooted in our shared values of hard work, responsibility, and accountability. That’s why I need your help today.

Can you make a contribution of any amount to keep me in the Senate defending a woman’s right to safe and legal reproductive health care? With your help, we can fight to enshrine reproductive rights into law, and make sure that all women have access to the care they need and deserve. [[link removed]]

Here’s the bottom line: Politicians don’t belong in the doctor’s room. In America, we respect the principle of freedom and women should be free to make their own medical decisions. I stand up for that right every single day.

Thanks for being with me in the fight,

Jon
