Closing Gender Disparities in College Basketball
Soon after Charlie Baker took on the role as the NCAA’s new president, Mikie asked him to address gender inequities between men and women’s college basketball. [[link removed]] The NCAA has been slow to respond since women’s basketball players called out the differences between the men’s and women’s tournaments Mikie is ready to work with the new NCAA president to address concerns like participation opportunities, experiences, and student athlete financial aid to ensure the spirit of Title IX is met.
