A prominent anti-choice group is already touting their 2024 litmus test: a requirement that candidates support a federal ban on abortion. And this new demand comes on the heels of the Republican National Committee urging GOP legislators and candidates to "go on offense in the 2024 election cycle" when it comes to banning all abortion, everywhere.

I get why you might want to tune this nonsense out. This community fought so hard last year, and there are so many fights ahead—we could all use a break.

But the truth is, right now is when we most need to pay attention. Anti-choice extremists aren't slowing down—beyond the 2024 campaign trail, they're fighting at the state and federal level to decimate access to abortion, contraception, and other reproductive health care.

So we can't let up. We have to be prepared to keep fighting this fight for the long haul. It's the only way to make our goal of reproductive freedom for everybody a reality.
