Dear John

Even with the government extending its support scheme, energy bills have doubled since last year. And energy giants are still raking in profits at the expense of the climate.

Families are struggling. Businesses are closing. People are getting sick in cold, poorly insulated homes, where money spent on energy is leaking through our walls and ceilings.

In Westminster, politicians have only delivered sticking-plaster solutions.

So today I’ve got an ask of you. Can you ask your MP what they’re doing to make sure people in  have warmer homes by next winter?

Write to your MP today and help us find out where local decision-makers stand on the cheapest way to bring down energy bills for good: home insulation.
I'LL ADD MY VOICE
Millions of us are struggling to pay our bills. Particularly people in the worst insulated homes.

Our latest research identifies the 1.1 million households facing “extreme” fuel poverty. These are people forced to spend more than 20% of their entire disposable income on energy [1].

That leaves far too little for everything else. And older and disabled people are far more likely to pay a higher proportion of their income on energy costs.

The UK is hopefully through the worst of winter. But every day without proper home insulation means a household left vulnerable once spring and summer are gone and winter starts again.

Not only can insulation protect us from the impacts of the cost-of-living crisis. It can help us reduce emissions so we can get closer to our climate goals.

So please ask your MP what are they doing to raise the alarm and make sure as many homes as possible are insulated by next winter?
I'LL ADD MY VOICE
Thanks so much for everything you do for people and planet.

All the best,

Sana
