Joe Biden is lying about Medicare For All. As the Iowa Caucuses approach, he’s repeating talking points from the folks at insurance corporations who back his campaign, and he should be ashamed of himself.
Tonight, People's Action members with Iowa CCI Action held Biden accountable for his lies. They occupied his state office, demanding he tell the truth about Medicare for All.

Here are the facts: Medicare for All will guarantee that you can get health care when you need it. It will get rid of co-pays, deductibles and premiums. No more fighting with your insurance company, no more surprise medical bills from health network shenanigans. Just you, your doctor, and the health care you need.
Look, it’s easy math: if you pay $5 more in taxes but save $10 on co-pays, you’ve just saved $5.
But I guess easy math gets hard when you start adding up contributions from insurance insiders.
Biden has scare-mongered about “hiatuses” in health care, has told crowds that Medicare for All would mean that “all the Medicare you have is gone,” and has consistently told audiences that single-payer health care would drive up costs for them. All of these statements are lies and deceptions intended to keep his friends in the insurance corporations in business.
Biden’s lies are designed to scare people--as if the status quo wasn’t already scary for the millions of us who lack insurance or are under-insured.
We are fighting for our lives by fighting for Medicare for All. And we're going to hold people like Joe Biden accountable when they tell lies to help insurance corporations instead of standing up for us.
