The FBI opened dozens of investigations into parents who criticized school boards, which lawmakers say is evidence the Biden administration is targeting conservatives.
House Republicans revealed Tuesday that the FBI opened 25 preliminary investigations based on tips to the National Threat Operations Center. Six of the probes were assigned to the FBI’s counterterrorism division, according to the report from the Weaponization of Government Subcommittee. The report says the FBI opened just one full investigation out of the 25 preliminary investigations of school board threats and did not identify any legitimate threats against school board members.

Texas resident shoots, kills 2 intruders who broke into his apartment, police say
A Texas man shot and killed two intruders after they broke into his apartment early Saturday and fired shots at him, police said.
Police were dispatched to an apartment in Garland, Texas, just after 2:30 a.m. about a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers saw two male suspects suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. One suspect was inside the apartment, the other was outside near the same residence, police said.

The Houston suspect accused of paralyzing a mother of three by bodyslamming her during a "jugging" robbery on Feb. 13 had his bond cut in half on Wednesday from $200,000 to $100,000, according to Harris County court records.
Joseph Harrell, 17, was arrested last week after police released surveillance video of the incident, in which Harrell allegedly followed the victim 24 miles from a bank before bodyslamming her to the ground and stealing $4,300 in cash she had just withdrawn.
