[Examining Changing Rates of Suicide: A Look at the Latest CDC Report]([link removed])

In February, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new data on suicide deaths for the year 2021. Join us at 3pm ET next Monday, March 27 for our latest episode of Ask Dr. Jill. AFSP's Senior Vice President of Research Dr. Jill Harkavy-Friedman and guest Dr. Deborah Stone of the CDC (Lead Behavioral Scientist, Suicide Prevention Team, CDC's National Center for Injury Prevention and Control) will answer viewers' questions about what the new numbers tell us.

From the increase of overall rates of suicide to disparities between different groups and ages, viewers will gain an understanding of what may be affecting the changing rates of suicide deaths, and how we can all play a role in preventing this leading cause of death. Dr. Jill and Dr. Stone will answer questions including:

- What are the biggest takeaways from the latest CDC report?
- Has the suicide rate gone up?
- What groups and ages have been most affected and why?
- Is there anything we can all do to help prevent suicide and lower the rates?

Tune in at 3pm ET on Monday, March 27 at [facebook.com/afspnational]([link removed]), and learn the answers to these and other questions. We're excited to have you there!
