Good morning Friends - I hope you enjoy the extra hours of daylight today. 

 

I have to say, I never thought we would still be messing with our clocks twice per year in 2023!

 

So as we “Spring Forward” into daylight savings time, I wanted to get your opinion on something that’s been hotly debated in Congress for the last couple years…

 

Do you think daylight savings time should be made permanent? 

 

The benefits of permanent daylight savings time have been studied: 

 

• Increased visibility means less accidents and less crime.

 

• Increased daylight during waking hours leads to better overall health physically and mentally, with more opportunities to be active and lower risk of depression.

 

• Increased economic stimulation, with an end to the drop in activity when clocks move backwards 

 

• Efficient use of energy with reduced energy usage rates

 

So I need to hear from you - do you support this push to end this practice? Do you believe these time changes are more inconvenient, unnecessary, and antiquated than they are positive?
