Friends and neighbors,

I want to share a pamphlet created by AARP ([link removed]) about HB 2001 that provides information as well as tackles myths surrounding what the bill does, and what it might do in our communities. In addition, more info on HB 2001 can be found here ([link removed]) .

I’m also sharing local listening sessions the Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) is hosting not far from HD 37 this week. These listening sessions are meant to provide an opportunity for public input on the implementation of HB 2001.

Listening session close to the Tualatin edge of HD 37:
Portland Community College – Willow Creek Center,
241 SW Edgeway Dr. Hillsboro OR
Wednesday, January 29, 7- 9 pm

Listening session close to the West Linn edge of HD 37:
Clackamas Community College – Harmony Campus,
7738 SE Harmony Road, Milwaukee OR
Thursday, January 30, 6- 8 pm

Finally, I will also be hosting DLCD in HD 37 in March after the 2020 session. We’re working out the details now. This will be a town-hall style event that will offer the community an opportunity to ask questions and share their perspectives.
