Any day now, a federal judge in Texas is expected to rule on a case that could have serious implications for reproductive rights nationwide.
Here’s what it boils down to: A Trump appointed judge is likely to rule in favor of far-right groups who seek to undo the FDA’s 20 years old approval of a common medication abortion pill.
If he does, the outcome could lead to a nationwide ban on this reproductive right—even in states with longstanding protections. And struggling patients in red states? This just makes it even harder for them to access the care they deserve.
John, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when politicians insert themselves into the doctor-patient relationship. Simply put, they shouldn’t be allowed to politicize a personal decision like whether or not they want or are able to have a baby.
We’re treading dangerous waters here, which is why we must take a stand to protect reproductive freedom right now.
