John,
I’m thrilled to announce that my old boss U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich and I are teaming up to protect New Mexico’s environment and boost our outdoor economy.
We just introduced the M.H. Dutch Salmon Greater Gila Wild and Scenic River Act to designate portions of the Gila River, its watershed, and other rivers in the Gila National Forest as Wild and Scenic Rivers.
Add your name to show your support for protecting the Gila River now →
The Gila Watershed, home to the nation’s first designated Wilderness, is now the largest remaining network of naturally free-flowing river segments in the Southwest.
By designating portions of this river as Wild and Scenic, we will protect this iconic waterway — as well as our recreational and agricultural industries that rely on it — for generations to come.
This is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to protect an irreplaceable river and watershed that New Mexicans love and depend on.
If you’re with me and Sen. Heinrich, add your name to become a citizen cosponsor of our bill to protect the Gila today!
I promised to fight for NM-02’s public lands and protect our environment, and with your support, I’m delivering.
Thank you for using your voice to protect the important lands and waterways that make New Mexico so special.
— Gabe
