We’re grateful for Dem AGs like Phil Weiser who are fighting to protect children across the country.
Friend,
Social media can be a great tool for connecting people across long distances or educating folks on new perspectives or discussing the latest episode of your favorite zombie apocalypse show. But when we’re mindlessly scrolling through these platforms, do we really understand the algorithm that’s feeding us all of this content? And even more important: Do we understand what content the algorithm is feeding our children?
Thankfully, Colorado’s Democratic Attorney General Phil Weiser is asking these critical questions by leading a nationwide investigation into social media’s impact on the mental health of our children and teens.
AG Weiser says that social media platforms are creating a hazardous environment for young people, including pushing dangerous weight loss and self harm content to teenage girls.
We’re grateful for Dem AGs like Phil Weiser who are fighting to protect children across the country. Because the truth is, we need to know what these social media giants are doing with their power, and if harmful content is being directed at our kids, we have to do something to stop it.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
