Friends,

It's busy up here at the Capitol. In the span of 24 hours, I've received some really depressing news: The Democrat trifecta has come to terms on spending, opting to spend just shy of $18 billion dollars of new General Fund Spending. Our budget from the last two year cycle was around $52 billion, the Democrats are now pushing a total budget increase well over 25+%, with spending coming in above $65 billion. One question I want to ask you, after two years of record inflation under the Biden economy, are you, your friends or family seeing a fixed increase in your pocket of 25%?

Here are the spending targets, add 6 zero's behind the figures to fully appreciate the new budget:

What's worse is now, as legislative deadlines are fast approaching, Senate Democrats have positioned themselves to take up Gun Control Legislation just three days before Committee bills finalize.  The bills in question are linked here SF 2909 and SF 1116. These bills are whole sale assault on your 4th and 2nd amendment rights, and have strong backing from Tim Walz.

Red Flag gun grabs being issued with no crime, Judges having the option to ban a person for possessing fire arms for up to 2 years without committing a crime, 21 year old requirement for ownership, magazine capacity limits, and the end of personal transfers are just a few to name:

Please let me know your thoughts, or concerns with the Budget, proposed gun bills, or any legislative matter that you think needs consideration.

Cheers,

Steve Green
