Team, last November I was elected Arizona’s first Democratic governor in 15 years. Now, as we look to the future, we have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to flip the legislature blue in 2024 for the first time in decades.

Last year, the NDRC supported me and nearly 500 other Democracy Defender candidates in critical races. Many of us were up against dangerous extremists and election deniers like my opponent, Kari Lake, who has repeatedly advocated for overturning Arizona’s 2020 election results.
With the help of the NDRC and their team of grassroots supporters, Democracy Defenders like me defeated extreme Republicans in states like Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and others in 2022. As a result, for the first time in years, more Americans now live in a state with a Democratic Governor and legislature rather than in one fully controlled by the GOP – and we’re counting on your support to do it again in 2024.
These crucial victories paved the way for Democrats to pass legislation on issues like voting rights, reproductive freedom, gun safety, and more. They also helped ensure the 2024 election will be fought on a fair playing field – and that’s an opportunity we absolutely cannot squander.
MAGA Republicans have already started making plans for the next election. That means we need to get to work now to ensure Democrats up and down the ballot will have the resources necessary to defeat them.
