Jack, when I write these emails I always try to be as honest and upfront with you about Daily Kos as I possibly can. I don't use hyperbolic phrases that exaggerate our situation.
So when I say it has been a challenging financial year so far, I am not kidding.
We knew heading into 2023 that we would be faced with some difficult choices when it comes to Daily Kos' financial situation. However, we didn't predict that we would be falling behind our goals as much as we are. We have already made deep financial cuts and are making other changes that we hope will improve our revenue. However, we will not see the impacts of those changes for a few more months.
Donations from readers and activists like you have been the only source of income that has been doing well for us. Over the course of the past month, we made the decision to raise our fundraising goal for March by $100,000 in hopes that we can offset our other lagging revenue sources.
At this time, we are relying more and more on the support of readers and activists to cover our expenses. We need to raise $121,650 by the end of month to hit our fundraising goal. Can you support the work of Daily Kos by making a donation of $5 today?
DONATE
Thanks for all you do,
Amanda McKay, Daily Kos
