A Trump-appointed judge in Texas is set to make a ruling any day now that could ban the use of a safe and effective abortion pill nationwide. This lawsuit could make accessing abortion care even more difficult for women in every state.

Texas judge to rule on abortion pill used by millions of Americans

"A federal judge in Texas is set to rule on a lawsuit that seeks to restrict access to one of the two drugs typically used to induce a medicated abortion. The decision could impact 40 million women nationwide, making it the most consequential legal ruling since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade."

john,

A federal judge in Texas is set to make a ruling any day that could dramatically affect women's access to abortion care nationwide.

A lawsuit has been brought by anti-choice extremists challenging the FDA approval of a safe and effective abortion pill – mifepristone. If this Trump-appointed judge rules in their favor, the supply of this safe medication will be halted in all states – including Washington.

With the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade last year, abortion pills have been instrumental in helping women receive the care they need – even in states where abortions are outlawed or restricted. This lawsuit could make accessing abortion care even more difficult for women in every state.

As a doctor and as a congresswoman, Kim knows that deeply personal health care decisions should be between a patient and her doctor, only. That's why she's fighting back against extremist attacks on abortion care. Are you with her?
