We have an important deadline coming up in exactly nine days — our first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of the year.
You've probably seen a lot of emails in your inbox discussing the big "FEC deadline." You might even have noticed an increase in the number of emails you've received lately. That’s because this is a real deadline — with real effects on our campaign — so we wanted to take a moment to explain why it's so important.
Every quarter, campaigns are required to submit a public report of what they raised to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) — the agency tasked with compiling and reporting campaign finance data.
The deadline coming up on March 31 is especially critical because it marks the first time we'll report our numbers since Ayanna was sworn into Congress in January for her third term.
We need all hands on deck to post a strong report, and a $3 contribution from you today will send a powerful message to the media and the GOP that Ayanna has strong support as she fights for bold, progressive change.
With Republicans and dark money groups constantly attacking Ayanna and other progressive members of Congress, we must do everything we can to fight back and show the strength of our movement.
