Tonight, 9PM PST, you are invited to view the "Room of Truth." LCA and ALW (our So. Korea sister organization, Animal Liberation Wave) are staging a mock dog meat slaughterhouse display in Seoul on National Puppy Day. The exhibit, titled “National Puppy Day: Room of Truth,” will showcase the horrific conditions and instruments that are inside a slaughterhouse.

The “Room of Truth” serves as a visual reminder of the 1,000,000 dogs slaughtered every year in the So. Korea dog meat trade. The display is a replica of the Yeoju Gyeshin-ri dog meat slaughterhouse, documented during an LCA/ALW undercover investigation. Authorities shut down the slaughterhouse in 2021 after our investigation was released.

National Puppy Day celebrates the unconditional love that puppies bring to our lives. Yet the devastating conditions of So. Korean dogs being farmed, slaughtered and traded for meat continues, even on a day of global efforts to promote a culture of animal companionship.
