Keeping in touch with you over email is an important part of our campaign – and when you have to win re-election to Congress every two years (AND you’re a top target for the NRA and national Republicans), the campaign never stops. 

With emails like this one, we can update folks all throughout my district, around Georgia, and everywhere in the country with my reactions to breaking news (perhaps my next email will be about a certain much-anticipated arrest). We can help to organize volunteers or promote campaign events, get your feedback and input through polls and surveys, and ask for your grassroots support when we need that too.

Our email list is a powerful tool, John, and you are a vital part of this movement we’re building to pass gun control reforms in Congress and all around the country.

But when email providers like Google or companies like Apple make big changes, or when we use a new piece of software to send these emails, we run the risk of landing in your spam folder — which is the last place we want to end up!
