The IPCC report made it clear; the climate crisis is accelerating. That’s why we need to respond fiercely by ensuring our Environmental Priorities Coalition priorities pass this year.

One priority, the GMA Climate bill, will require the largest and fastest growing communities to reduce emissions according to state goals, and plan for increased wildfires, flooding, sea level rise, and drought as the climate crisis worsens. This bill is scheduled for a public hearing on Thursday, March 23 and we need your help to sign in PRO for E2SHB 1181 by tomorrow.

Signing in PRO is an easy, virtual way to note your position on a bill while it is still in a committee --legislators pay close attention to the quantity of sign-ins. This accessible option for participating in the legislative process was created during the first virtual session during the pandemic. It increased transparency and access for Washingtonians across the state to participate in the policy and decision-making experience during legislative session.
