Maine and Minnesota could see loons vanish by the end of the century.

We’ve already lost 3 billion birds in the span of a human lifetime.

It’s true that the situation is serious, with climate change threatening two-thirds of North American bird species with extinction. But it’s also true that we’ve made incredible progress.
