Over the past several administrations, Virginia Governors have worked towards streamlining the restoration of rights. But now, Glenn Youngkin’s administration is doing the opposite. Instead of making it easier, they are putting up roadblocks. Countless citizens are being released believing they will be able to participate in our democracy, but Governor Youngkin has other plans.

The restoration of rights is about redemption and forgiveness, which is why when I was Secretary of the Commonwealth, I led the effort in restoring over 173,000 Virginians' right to vote.

We deserve better. Which is why it is imperative that we come together as Virginia Democrats and take back the Virginia Legislature this November.
