Ingram Micro has achieved Amazon Web Services Migration Competency, which allows the distributor to offer tools, education and support for customers' cloud migration strategies, said Duncan Robinson, Ingram Micro's vice president for growth partnerships and cloud. Global revenue for enterprise applications is expected to increase to more than $385 billion by 2026 from $280 billion last year, most of which will come from public cloud investments, according to analyst firm IDC.

A new round of job cuts to shrink Amazon's corporate staff

Amazon has announced it will cut 9,000 jobs in the coming weeks, with most positions being in human resources, cloud computing, advertising and Twitch streaming. The announcement follows 18,000 jobs being axed at the beginning of the year, with the combined job cuts affecting just under 2% of the company's workforce.
