Pastor Emmanuel serves as a local church pastor in Tanzania. He wanted to tell people in the remote, Mtwara region of his country about Jesus. But ministry was difficult.


Most people followed the majority religion. They did not know about Jesus and had very little interest in learning about Him. They also lacked access to safe, clean water. Families were forced to fetch water from faraway places or drink from open, dirty sources.


Thankfully people like you stepped in and helped drill a new clean water well in their village — and everything changed!


The new water well helped Pastor Emmanuel build credibility in the community and with local government leaders by tangibly meeting an immediate need. After experiencing the kindness of Jesus through water, people are now more open to learning about Him. Pastor Emmanuel has seen seven people respond to the message of eternal hope.


Three new churches have been established in the village, and they are growing. Local government authorities even gave our local partners a one-acre plot of land so they could construct a church building. Before the well opening, families were often late to church because of the time it took to fetch water each morning. But now they can freely go and enjoy Christian community.


Approximately 2,107 people have been served through the new well. Today families have all the clean water they need for drinking, cooking, hygiene, and more. They are hearing about Jesus. And the entire community is being transformed. Pastor Emmanuel shared,


People are flocking to the local churches,

which is eradicating evil in the community.
