Friend,
I want to challenge your assumptions about public schools.
It's a different world from when we were kids—when schools were
safer and teachers were there to help students learn and better themselves.
We cannot give schools the benefit of the doubt anymore. Even in red
states, you have radical gender ideologies and Critical Race Theory in the school
curriculum.
The Goldwater Institute is
suing schools that violate parental rights. Can you please support our
urgent work by donating $10, $35, $100, or more?
Hereâs one story from a school in
Maine:
Last December, Amber Lavigne was in her 13-year-old daughterâs room when
she found a chest binder—an undergarment used to flatten breasts.
Amber was alarmed, and when she started investigating she was shocked to
discover that a school social worker, who had been seeing Amberâs daughter since
October, secretly gave the child the chest binder and advised her about gender
transitioning.
The social worker told Amberâs
daughter the school wouldnât inform her parents about any of it and that she
shouldnât do so either.
Friend, the school violated Amberâs
parental rights as protected by the Constitution.
Now the Goldwater Institute is stepping in to hold the school
accountable.
Let me briefly introduce myself and our organization. I am Victor
Riches, President and CEO of the Goldwater Institute, the nationâs leading liberty
organization. We provide pro-bono legal support for parents like Amber
Lavigne.
Iâve set a goal to find 500
new donors to fund our American Freedom Network, which provides pro-bono legal
support to protect parental rights and stop schools from indoctrinating
children.
Your generous support makes

Amber and her daughterâs story
doesnât end there, though.
When Amber contacted school officials, the administrators defended the
counselorâs actions. She also learned that school personnel had already been
referring to Amberâs daughter with a different name and different
pronouns.
âThis is unacceptable: a school
employee secretly encouraged my daughter to change her gender and hide it from me.
The school never stopped trying to keep me in
the dark at every turn, repeatedly stonewalling me when I tried to find out what
was going on. My parental rights arenât up for debate: I deserve to
know whatâs happening to my child in school.â
— Amber Lavigne
Now, weâre demanding
the school board investigate the counselorâs actions and force them to accept
parental rights as defined by law. The schoolâs actions toward Amber
and her daughter arenât just wrong — theyâre
unconstitutional.
Parents have a fundamental right to control and direct their childrenâs
education, upbringing, and healthcare decisions. The Goldwater Institute is
leading the effort to protect parental rights in courts and force schools to stop
this radical trend in gender ideology.
You can help the Goldwater
Institute support the rights of parents today with a gift of $10, $35, $50, or
even $100. Friend, please help me support families like Amber and her
daughter.
No other organization has done more to defend
parental rights than the Goldwater Institute:
As schools try to ramp up woke
indoctrination like CRT and gender ideology, the rights of parents are more
important than ever.
Friend, will you help us protect the rights of parents
